Kent Manor House
Compton Place Stables, Eastbourne – Phase Three
External Refurbishment of a Private House
To repair and refurbish all external elevations of a private residence forming part of the Cobham Park Estate. The estate has been owned by the client’s family for many years with Cobham Lodge now forming the main residence. As part of the general upkeep across the estate the client had prepared a specification of works detailing the comprehensive external works.
The property had large quantities of render repairs carried out to all areas. At roof level all existing terracotta chimney pots were replaced with a type and style to better suit the property. A vast amount of slates were replaced as well as a number of leadwork repairs. We also carried out timber repairs including full window cill replacements, with sections purpose made to suit the existing style. During the contract the client approached us to ask if we could replace the cornice to the main entrance of the property. We responded to this and had a replica moulded using an existing section, this was then installed and decorated to suit.
Following a careful colour selection process with the client, the property was brought back to life by a complete re-decoration to all areas.
